About Me
Hi! I’m Randi (she/her/they), and I’m so glad you’re here. My yoga journey began over 23 years ago, back in 2001, when I took my first class at Santa Monica College. At the time, I was pursuing a degree in Physical Fitness and decided to give yoga a try. I fell in love with how it made me feel—strong, centered, and balanced—and how it enhanced other areas of my fitness and well-being.
But despite my love for yoga, I didn’t always feel like I fit into the yoga community. For years, this sense of not belonging kept me from imagining myself as anything more than a student.
Over the past decade, yoga has helped me grow—not just physically but emotionally and spiritually. It gave me the strength and drive to push past self-doubt and step fully into my purpose. As a Black woman, I saw a deep need for representation in the yoga world—a space where Black women and women of color could feel seen, heard, and valued. I knew I had to play my part in creating that space for others, especially women and non-men seeking a safe and empowering environment to practice yoga.
With the support of my friends and family, I finally listened to my inner voice and committed to sharing this life-changing practice with others. In April 2015, I earned my first 200-hour yoga teacher certification, and I haven’t stopped learning or teaching since.
Today, I have over 750 hours of training and have taught more than 3,000 classes. I’m a firm believer in the power of continuing education, and I remain a lifelong student of yoga—because the practice itself is the greatest teacher. Most recently, I completed a 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training in December 2021.
I specialize in vinyasa, restorative, yin, and heated yoga. I’m also a certified meditation instructor & sound healer. Lately, I’ve been focusing on helping others find peaceful rest and deep sleep through my Tranquil Nights e-book and retreats.
It’s an honor to hold space for my students and to witness their journeys. Yoga is for everyone, and I strive to make every session inclusive, uplifting, and transformative.
Many blessings to you. Stay safe, and I hope to connect with you soon.
